Downsview to host Canada Day celebration

One of Toronto’s biggest Canada Day celebrations will once again take place in Downsview this July, as Canadians come together in Downsview Park.

The gathering will feature live on-stage entertainment from local bands and entertainers. Young attendees can also enjoy games and inflatable structures ready to play. There will be a marketplace of local food trucks and other vendors from throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Vendors at events like these often use tools like Business Cards and special promotional items to better connect with customers in the community. John Drury Drive will be closed to traffic to allow to better access to the park, with limited car parking on sight.

The night will conclude with the customary Canada Day fireworks display, with the night sky lit up in red and white. This is the only time of the year that fireworks are used in Downsview Park, with the help of a professional team. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and blankets or lawn chairs if they need seating. Past editions have seen thousands of people from Toronto and beyond come to Downsview to ring in Canada’s birthday. The event is hosted in Downsview’s Festival Terrace area, which has been used for major concerts and music festivals.

The 2024 Canada Day celebrations in Downsview Park will take place on July 1, with attendance free to all.
