Even in the middle of winter, trees show Signs of life, and a Downsview Park activity will soon explore how they benefit the urban landscape.
The park will be offering members of the public an instalment of its Nature Connection series that will be discussing trees in winter, and while all ages may take part, anyone under age 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. The session has been made possible thanks to financial support provided by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and it will run for an hour and a half.
This outdoor activity will show how, even when they are in their winter dress, trees offer Forms and patterns that can be very beautiful when one stops to appreciate them. Everyone can brush up on their winter tree identification skills, and there will be games on the agenda as well. The activity will only be offered in English.
An urban park gives city dwellers a chance to connect with nature right in their own backyard. A poster printing company can be helpful in raising public awareness of an event like this.
Downsview Park will be putting trees in the spotlight with this winter-themed activity on March 10th. It will start at 2:00 pm, and while service animals will be welcome, it has been asked that pets remain at home.
