Downsview has set aside a day in late October to celebrate the canine members of the community, and it will give dogs a chance to show off their Halloween costumes.
Dogsview Park, the dog park located at Downsview Park, will be open to the public for the upcoming Howl-o-ween Unleashed event. The function will see dogs and their owners sporting their favourite Halloween costumes, and they can have their pictures taken together as a memento of the day. Treats for pooches and people alike will be distributed to the crowd, and some accessories will also be passed out – those these are limited while supplies last, so attendees are encouraged to head down in plenty of time. Those who are on site for the festivities will have an opportunity to fill out a survey and win a prize, and everyone will be able to meet other local dog lovers.
