Downsview run to support local seniors

A run that will take place in Downsview Park this October will lend a helping hand to a variety of programing and support for seniors across the Greater Toronto Area, and all of the net proceeds will be donated to the cause.

This will be the first year for the Universal Care Strides for Seniors, and the organizers have worked hard to create an experience they hope will be both fun and exciting for the runners, sponsors and other supporters. It will be held in person, so long as the current health mandates permit, and there will be both a 5k run and 2.5k walk.

Along with the run and walk, the routes for which have been chosen for their scenic appeal, the agenda for the day includes live entertainment and food trucks. Events like these often distribute Promotional Products to attendees, and at this event, special swag will be supplied to each runner and walker to thank them for their support.

Anyone who would like to sign up for the activity is welcome to do so now, and the fee starts at $45. Those who register can do so on their own or as a team.

The inaugural Universal Care Strides for Seniors will be hitting the trails in Downsview Park on October 2nd. Its Race Roster listing has current details about the day.
