Downsview raises a glass to ice wine lovers

Downsview ice wine aficionados are invited to an event that will give them an opportunity to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the Niagara Ice Wine Festival.

The day will begin with the participants being picked up at their hotel or other accommodation, after which they will be driven to the festival. They will be able to enjoy the ice sculptures and other activities, and will visit large, medium, and small sized wineries so that they can see the different types of vineyards that can be found in the Niagara region. At each stop, those who are taking part will have a chance to sample ice wine, food and also the other wines the vineyard produces.

Lunch will be included in the day’s activities, and people will also have a chance to take in the festival on Queen Street in Niagara on the Lake. At the end of the day, the group will be driven back to the city.

Throughout the day, experienced guides will be providing information about the different wineries, as well as what makes the region well suited to wine production. Booklet printing companies can provide informational publications that can be given to each person who takes part.

The price for the tour is $350.00 each, which includes transportation, wine sampling and food pairings, lunch and a tour guide. It will be held on January 13, 2017.
