Downsview planning Canada Day bash

In many communities across the country, Canada Day is a time to celebrate. Downsview is no exception, and an evening filled with family friendly activities will bring the neighbourhood together on an evening filled with fun.

A free event will be held in Downsview Park’s Festival Terrace, and the excitement will begin at 4:00 pm. It will be an all-ages event, and with everything from food to games, music and even a fireworks show, there will be lots going on to enjoy.

The kids can burn off some energy int he bounce houses and other inflatables, and there will also be kid-friendly games for them as well. Face painters will be on hand, and everyone can enjoy browsing through the vendor area. A lineup of live entertainment has been booked, and with a selection of food trucks parked at the venue, the crowd will not have far to go to eat.

The organizers explained that while there is limited parking available, the park can easily be reached by public transit. Glowsticks, silicone bracelets and other Promotional Products can be given out as swag to the kids who participate in such events.

This free community celebration will be held on Monday, July 1, and anyone who would like to find out more about attending or booking a vendor space has been asked to contact downsviewinfo@clc.ca.
