Downsview Park to go hog wild

Downsview Park will soon be playing host to an event that combines food, entertainment and fun.

The 2016 Downsview Park Ribfest will see more than 30,000 people take part in the celebration. There will be entertainment, a midway, a special area for kids with face painting and a magic show, and a VIP section will be set up for those who sponsored the event. There will also be plenty of food and a chance for friends and neighbors to gather in a spirit of fun.

In keeping with the theme of the event, barbeque will be featured. There will be rib-eating contests, and six rib teams from all across the continent will be on hand, serving up their best. At least three food vendors will have their trucks set up as well. Custom Drinkware that includes the celebration’s logo can be designed and printed for an event such as this.

Admission for the festival has been set at $2.00 each, with children aged 12 and under being admitted free of charge. There is no cost to park, and people who plan on attending are asked to leave their pets at home.

The 2016 Downsview Park Ribfest will take place from September 2 to 5. It has been organized by BWG Events Group, and more information and a list of the teams that will be participating can be found on its website.
