Downsview class to offer tips for crafting perfect pizza

Pizza is a very popular dish, and local restaurateurs who would like to add an authentic version to their menu will be able to do so once they have completed a Downsview-area culinary workshop.

The chefs who register for The School of Italian Pizza’s “Pizza Napoletana Professional” learning opportunity will walk away knowing how to craft tasty Neapolitan-style flat breads. They will be taught the skills via hands-on learning, and while the course is open to all who are interested, it has been designed for those in the food service industry.

The learners will discover how to prepare the crust for their pizza, as well as which toppings to use. Both typical and trendy ingredient choices will be discussed, and as the pizzas will be baked in a traditional oven, the students are set to find out how the wood they choose to use will affect the flavour of the finished dish.

Even though a workshop like this may run for just one day, it will still be packed with learning and tips for future pizza makers. Offering participants printed recipe cards that have been laminated will make it easy for them to recreate the recipes in their own eatery, and these can be crafted by a brochure printing company.

The Pizza Napoletana Professional class will be offered on July 8th at 815 Alness Street. Everyone is asked to be on site by 10:00 am.
