Downsview area training on offer for first responders

One of the duties of a first responder is to provide advanced first aid, and an upcoming Downsview area workshop will make sure they are ready for just such an emergency.

The participants in the First Responder Course - North York will be provided with a deep dive into techniques that can be used when preparing an accident victim or other casualty for transport to the hospital. Each learner will receive certification from the Canadian Red Cross, and the class fee is $585.89, which includes taxes and fees.

The 40 hours of training will cover an assortment of topics, ranging from what to do when preparing to respond to establishing care priorities based on the issues at hand.
