Holiday Candyland to return to Cambridge

The City of Cambridge will be bringing back its annual Candyland attraction this December, looking to provide winter family fun.

The event will transform Preston’s Central Park into a colourful landscape. Returning are popular attractions like the Ice Slide Adventures and interactive Candyland Games. The area will include custom ice sculptures and giant-sized letter light displays for photo opportunities, alongside other candy-themed decorations. Other activities include face painting and a hot chocolate station.

The Candyland event will feature live music, dance, and theatrical performances from local artists. Visiting children can also meet with guests like Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with the Christmas in Cambridge mascot Willy Melt. Guests are encouraged to wear candy-inspired outfits with bright colours appropriate for the holidays, and to dress for the weather.

The event returned in 2025 for the first time since 2019, and is looking to become an annual fixture once more. Candyland is part of Cambridge’s annual Winterfest celebrations. Holiday attractions like this one often use methods like poster printing and social media to help reach the local community. City promotion encourages locals to:

“Get ready for a whimsical day of fun and fantasy at Candyland, a delightful celebration for children and families!”

The 2026 edition of Candyland will take place at Central Park in Preston, Cambridge on the afternoon of December 12.
