The Burlington community has a deep love for music, which will be showcased at an upcoming festival.
Starting as a modest marching band parade in 1980, the Sound of Music has since grown into Canada's largest free music festival, taking over downtown Burlington and the waterfront. To be held next month, the four-day Sound of Music Festival will boast a wide range of genres from both local and international talents. Attendees can see some of today's most popular artists and new and emerging performers.
The festival will also showcase this year's winner of Battle of the Bands. A tribute to the event’s modest start occurs on Saturday morning, with the Grande Festival Parade, which showcases not only marching bands but also vintage vehicles, floats and local performers. When not watching performances on the three stages, attendees can also explore local craft and food vendors, try their luck with classic games at the Midway or enjoy some thrilling rides.
Poster printing is used for many concerts, whether to notify attendees about when and where different artists will be performing or to be sold as keepsakes at the event.
The Sound of Music Festival will take place from June 12th to 15th at Spencer Smith Park, located at 1400 Lakeshore Rd in Burlington. The festival's website has additional information, including the current performance lineup.
