The event will bring together Carolyn Taylor, co-creator and star of CBC’s The Baroness von Sketch Show; Pat Kelly, co-creator of the satirical radio series This is That; and Peter Oldring, veteran improviser and This Is That cast member. Oldring and Kelly have worked together before but will be reuniting with Taylor for the first time since all three were part of legendary comedy group the Second City.
The show will be styled as an old-school “variety show” featuring a combination of improv and sketch comedy to highlight the strengths of all three participants. Advertising emphasizes the uniqueness of the live event:
“..your algorithm has no business being in the theatre during this evening when these seasoned comedians launch into their exceedingly reasonable evening of comedy. Don’t miss this rare and hysterical reunion.”
The show is part of the BPAC Presents event series. Discount tickets are available for Arts Centre members. Comedians often use methods like poster printing and podcast appearances to help advertise live shows and events such as this as well as connect with the comedy community.
A Perfectly Reasonable Night of Comedy will take place on the evening of March 10 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.
