Vancouver potters to learn new technique

Pottery fans in Vancouver who would like to take their skills to the next level may find a class that will be held this August to be of interest.

Anyone who has some experience in using a pottery wheel and would like to learn a simple technique for making plates is invited to register for the workshop series that will be offered at the pottery studio at the West End Community Centre. The series will consist of two classes, and the instructor will be Lisa Warren.

The classes will teach a potting method that combines using the wheel with hand building. Participants will gain some practice in creating these in different sizes during the first instalment, while the second will be focused on glazing their projects. The materials required to participate will be supplied, and both of the classes will run for two hours.

Learning some new skills can be a lot of fun, and taking part in workshop like this one provides a chance to do so. A flyer printing company can make it simple to promote such an activity, as they can be posted on community bulletin boards, tucked into Shopping Bags and mailed out to area households.

The Pottery: Plates the Easy Way sessions will be on offer on August 10th and August 17th. They are intended for adults only.
