A spooky or silly jack o'lantern can be the final touch to a Halloween scene, and Vancouver families may want to register for an activity that will help them create their own custom gourd.
The city’s pint sized set is on the guest list for a pumpkin carving session, and it will include other fun as well. To help the organizers plan the occasion, they have recommended that parents sign up their child in advance, and each pumpkin purchased for the gathering will be $8.00 each.
The parents and kids can use the tools provided to carve their pumpkin, and to add even more spine tingling excitement, the younger attendees are encouraged to wear a costume. The parents or guardians will need to remain with their son or daughter throughout the activity, and music will be playing. The session is slated for the Coal Harbour Community Centre, and it will begin at 5:30 pm.
