Vancouver festival salutes feathered friends

Like the Canadian “snowbirds” , many of Vancouver’s feathered friends make their way south each year to avoid the cold, and an upcoming event will welcome them back as they make their return.

The annual Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration will have offerings for everyone from the “bird nerd” to those who just enjoy the beauty of the avian set. The activities will take place in various venues, and there are online options as well.

The schedule for the event explains that many of the functions will be free of charge, and a full schedule will be released closer to its start date. There will be options for adults only as well as family friendly fun, and it will be a chance to gain some experience observing birds in the field. The Laan Duncan Bird Conservation Award winner will be announced, and the festivals will get started on May 9th.

Organizers of nature-focused activities may appreciate the eco-friendly printing services options on offer at area Print shops. Their staff can help customers make their selections from the products they offer, and there's a wide range available.

The 2025 Greater Vancouver Bird celebration will be running throughout much of May. More information about the location of the activities in the Lower Mainland as well as timings will be added to its website as its opening date approaches.
