Vancouver's Beaty Biodiversity Museum provides the public with a variety of nature-based programming, and families from across the city are be offered an opportunity to participate in one of its upcoming activities.
The museum is home to an extensive collection of herbarium sheets, and its inventory of over 650,000 is the largest in the country. These have been prepared over the years by researchers, students and other individuals, and the Nature Club Family Day activity planned for June will introduce them to attendees.
The participants will use the sheets to learn about various parts of plant anatomy, including seeds, flowers and leaves. It is geared towards kids from ages 5 to 12, and the fee for the general public to participate is $14, while University of British Columbia campus families are welcome to take part free of charge. Along with learning about flowering plants, the group will learn how they can keep on making discoveries by observing the flora in their own backyard or local green space.
Family-based activities like this can make learning fun, and a printing services company will be able to prepare observation Journals paired with promotional Pens to distribute during such events.
The Beaty Biodiversity Museum will be offering this instalment of its Nature Club Family Day program on June 4th. Its run time will be from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Journals Get a Free Quote for Pens
