Vancouver class to cover chocolate tempering

Working with chocolate can require special skills and knowledge, and these will be on the agenda for those who register for an upcoming Vancouver workshop.

Tempering chocolate will be one of the skills taught during the class that has been planned by Drunken Chocolatier. The class will detail how chocolate is made, and both white and milk chocolate tempering will be on the agenda, with the required materials supplied.

Each of the attendees in the workshop will be walked through the steps of using molds to make chocolate bars, and extra ingredients to customize them will be provided. Everyone will make at least three bars, as well as truffles, to take home, and everyone is reminded to bring along containers to transport their treats. Open-toed shoes will not be permitted, and long hair should be tied back. It is for those aged 16 and up, and proper kitchen sanitation procedures will be followed at all times.

Learning new culinary techniques can be fun, especially when done as part of a large group. Stationery printers can prepare recipe cards and other handouts for a cookery-themed occasion like this.

The Chocolate Tempering Workshop will be on offer on October 17th. It will be held at 108-223 West Broadway in Vancouver, and the registration fee for the session is $102.04 per learner.
