The 11th ‘Taste of BC's Finest’ is taking place this May in Surrey, and is a fundraising event for the Semiahmoo House Society.
In total, 43 exhibitors will be on hand to provide tastings of food, wine, and chocolate. There are also set to be two 30-minute tutorials on wine tasting techniques, which are free but must be signed up for in advance. There will be a silent auction, door prizes, and live music. Guests over 19 years of age can also purchase raffle tickets for $25 each, $50 for three, or $100 for seven, and the prize is a new car.
Organizers are also sponsoring a ‘safe ride home’ program, so no one will be tempted to drink and drive.
The Semiahmoo House provides services and programs to people with intellectual disabilities. This support includes recreation and leisure programs, family services, employment training, housing, and community outreach.
Surrey printing companies often donate promotional materials to events like these. This can include Invitations, advertising Posters, and Flyers that will be mailed out to members of the community.
