The South Surrey and White Rock Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Business Excellence Awards at the end of January. The organization hands out seven awards in various categories to chamber member companies, including Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and Business Person of the Year.
Many organizations tend to hold various ‘best in business’ awards at this time of year, when business people are looking back over the year and wondering how they can do better next year. Recognizing those who have been the most successful during the year gives the rest of the business community a chance to discover what they did and how they might be able to emulate them in the future.
In addition to the awards, guests will enjoy dinner and the chance to mingle with their fellow businesspersons. Many of those Surrey and White Rock business leaders attending will likely be arranging for business card printing in advance and will want to ensure they have enough cards to hand out during the evening. They will also get a chance to find out directly from the award winners what they did to win and how they can strive to improve their own businesses in the coming year.
The 14th annual Business Excellence Awards will take place at Hazelmere Golf and Tennis Club on January 31 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Tickets are $98 per person or $760 for a table of eight. For more information, call 604-531-6844 x5.
