Surrey to host superhero fundraising day

Not all heroes wear capes, and those who call Surrey home will soon be answering the call when they take part in a local fundraising walk.

This year will see the 22nd annual Run, Walk and Roll Superhero Dash held at South Surrey Athletic Park, and it has received support from the Surrey Firefighters’ Charitable Society. Anyone who would like to lend a hand can do so on their own or as part of a family or team of friends, co-workers and colleagues, and there will be lots of prizes presented.

The attendees will be lacing up their sneakers for a fun 2K dash, and if they require a mobility device, they will be welcome to roll their way along the route. The monies raised through the activity will be used to help facilitate programming offered at The Centre for Child Development and Sophie’s Place, and single registrations are $20.00 each.

To both maximize the amount raised and also add an extra touch of fun to the day, there will be prize draws for an assortment of gifts and experiences. Many of these will have been donated by the local corporate community.

The 22nd annual Run, Walk and Roll Superhero Dash will be releasing everyone’s inner superhero on June 2nd. The festivities will kick off at 10:00 am. Poster printing can be used to promote such events.
