The Top 25 Under 25 Awards, which are presented by the Surrey Board of Trade, are set to take place again next month.
The awards honor 25 individuals who are aged 25 and under and work in businesses in Surrey. Those who have worked on major community programs which have helped to improve the city in some way are also recognized; the youngest award winners last year were 16 years old.
The general public and local business leaders can nominate those who they feel deserve the award until May 3. Nominees must be shown to possess superior leadership abilities. These awards are important in that they highlight the future of business in Surrey and allow established businesspersons the chance to connect with the winners. They also help to encourage young people to seriously consider a career in business.
The reception will feature a keynote speaker who is yet to be announced and hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. It will also be an excellent networking opportunity for the future and current business owners in Surrey who will be in attendance. No doubt, many of them will be placing business card orders with local printing companies in advance of the awards presentation. There will be plenty of chances to exchange Business Cards and to discuss business before and after the presentations.
The third annual Top 25 Under 25 Awards will take place at the Eaglequest Golf Course on May 23 from 5:30 - 8:00pm. Tickets are free. For more information, call Christine Dixon of the Surrey Board of Trade at 604-581-7130.
