Surrey Recreation will be hosting a series of fun and family friendly events to celebrate the festive season this year.
Beginning on Saturday, November 26, from 12:30 pm to 2 pm., Surrey Recreation is inviting families with children between the ages of 6 to 12 to Winter Fun. Winter Fun celebrates the start of winter, and it will see children participate in various winter-themed arts and crafts, such as snowflake art, and there will also be winter-themed songs and games and a special treat for everyone who participates.
Winter Fun will take place at various Surrey Recreation facilities. On November 26, it will take place at Cloverdale Recreation Centre. Subsequent dates to participate are scheduled for Sunday, December 4 at Newton Recreation Centre, Thursday, December 8 at Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre and, lastly, on Saturday, December 10 at Guildford Recreation Centre.
Also beginning on Saturday, November 26 from 1 pm to 4pm, families and residents are invited to the Christmas Tree Festival Kickoff at the Museum of Surrey. There, attendees will participate in various crafts, have an opportunity to view the various Christmas trees on display and get to vote for their favourite. There will also be a visit from Santa Claus.
Admission to Christmas Tree Festival Kickoff is free, while Winter Fun is $10. Print shops can help spread the word of a series of upcoming events like this to the local community.
