Surrey families to get a jump start on kindergarten readiness

Families with kids who are nearing kindergarten age will soon have a chance to learn more about the process of registering their child, and what to expect from this early time in their educational career.

The occasion, which will follow a conversation format, will touch on topics that may be of interest to those with young children. Teachers and other educational professionals will give presentations to the attendees, and free child minding will be available for anyone who needs it and registers for this ahead of time.

The topics that will be discussed during the function include student inclusion, how to ensure a boy or girl is ready to start kindergarten, and the perspective of a parent will also be shared. There will be no charge to take part in the session, and is scheduled to run for two hours at the Kensington Prairie Recreation Centre, which is located at 16824 32 Ave in South Surrey. Brochures and other materials for this type of informational session can be both designed and produced by an area printer.

This event, which will provide more information about how families can help to get their son or daughter’s schooldays off to a great start, will be taking place on March 8. Those who are interested in registering can do so by calling 604-592-2605, dropping in to any Surrey recreational facility or visiting the city’s website.
