Surrey conference to explore options for breast reconstruction

An event is taking place in Surrey where people can discuss the process of breast reconstruction.

For women who are fighting breast or other cancer, a mastectomy can be a life-saving procedure. Those who have had this surgery may be interested in having reconstructive work done afterwards, and a Surrey symposium will focus on this issue.

Breast Reconstruction Day will include input from both the Canadian Cancer Society and plastic surgeons in the region. Members of the public who have been touched by cancer or who are considering breast reconstruction for other health reasons are encouraged to attend.

A variety of topics will be discussed during the event, and it can give those who attend an opportunity to better understand the reconstructive process. They will learn about the various options available for this, and there are many other subjects on the program as well. Plastic surgeons will share their expertise, and light refreshments will be served. Anyone who needs to drive to the venue is welcome to make use of the underground parking that can be found in the area.

This type of event can be informative to all those who take part. Brochure printing companies can supply informational materials and other resources to distribute to the crowd.

Surrey City Hall has reserved October 9th for the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day event. It will remain open from 5:30pm until 8:30pm, and advanced reservations can now be made.
