The Surrey Art Gallery is holding family day celebrations in February, with this year's event is inspired by the site's current exhibition, ‘Views from the Southbank 1’.
Participants will be able to make a passport to Surrey, make a Time Travelling Toque out of tinfoil, and build their own backyard out of clay. They can also draw what they expect the city to look like in the future in the ‘Surrey - the Future Lives Here’ activity. Additionally, there will be an explorer event in which they can dig, press and paint items they find buried – with passports giving hints on where things are hidden – and listen to special Surrey stories told in the Studio Theatre later in the day.
Family Day takes place each February in several communities in Canada. It is meant to inspire those who have the day off to take part in activities suitable for the entire family.
Surrey printing companies often provide materials to organizations that put on special events. This can include the passports used on this occasion, as well as Flyers to advertise and Banners to highlight any sponsors.
