Surrey campus planning technology career expo for students

Simon Fraser University is in the planning stages of this year’s SystemsFair, which will be an event geared towards helping its students explore the world of possibilities when it comes in a career in technology. It will be held on its Surrey campus, and promises to offer a chance for attendees to build connections within the industry.

SystemsFair will bring together a variety of companies and other employers in the technology sector that are looking for qualified and creative candidates to fill both internships and permanent positions. The students who participate will be able to meet with them to discuss their future career plans and see if they might be a good fit for their enterprise.

The potential employees who plan on attending the expo are encouraged to bring along their portfolio to share, as well as Business Cards to distribute to people they meet. They can network with other students and potential employers building connections that may be helpful to them in their future endeavors. There is no entry fee, but those who wish to do so can register ahead of time, which can aid the organizers in planning how many to expect.

The doors for SystemFair 2019 are set to open at 11:00 am on February 8. More information for both students and exhibitors can be found on the event's online listing.
