Surrey asked support Kids Help Phone

Growing up isn’t always easy, and a resource that helps kids who feel they have nowhere else to turn is seeking support from Surrey to keep its lines open.

Kids Help Phone has hosted its ‘Walk so Kids Can Talk’ fundraiser for many years, but due to current circumstances, a decision was made to transform this ‘in person’ event into a virtual one. Along with raising money for the cause, it will show kids that they matter and that there is help out there for them if and when they need it.

The organizers of this yearly event explained that the decision was made to take the function online for this year, and even though the fundraisers won’t be able to gather in person, they can still make a huge impact. They went on to say that they will keep supporters of the event updated with the latest details so that they will know how they can help.

This year, there is an extra reason for the public to get involved, as Astro and Black Diamond Cheese have agreed to match the first $40,000 in donations. Even when an event takes place online, supporters may still appreciate receiving some Promotional Products to thank them for their support.

This chance to show kids across Canada that they matter will be hitting the virtual world on May 3rd. Those who need additional information can find it on the Kids Help Phone fundraiser website.
