Soon, Surrey adults will get to reach back into their closets to dig out their 80s gear for a special fundraising evening.
Guests at the “Bring Back the 80’s Party” are invited to sport their biggest hairstyle, neon clothes and other 80s attire for a fundraiser held in support of good mental health. The proceeds will be donated to the British Columbia Chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association, and one of the features of the celebration will be a live performance by Star Daddy.
When they arrive for the celebration, the guests will be invited to mingle and enjoy some light appetizers. Everyone will be able to view and bid on the items and experiences on the block in the silent auction, and prize draws have been planned as well. Admission for the event is $75, plus fees and taxes, and tickets will be available up until the evening before the festivities.
This themed fundraising party has been organized by Making Tomorrow Better, which is a not-for-profit group. Decor for such a celebration may be ordered from a local banner printing company.
The Bring Back the 80’s Party will allow attendees to step back in time and bring the fun to Surrey on June 4th. The doors will be open to the ticket holders at 7:30 pm.
