Pop down to gala to aid local hospices

Locals can help support hospice services in Surrey with the Surrey Hospice Gala taking place at the Eaglequest/Coyote Creek Golf and Country Club. Dress is semi-formal and proceeds will go towards the Surrey Hospice Society.

The theme of this year's gala is ‘An affair to remember’ and it is based on the 1950s. The evening will start off with cocktails followed by dinner and dancing. Music will be provided by Acoustic Groove and there will also be a live auction and balloons for sale, which reveal prizes when popped.

Local companies can help support the event by donating prizes to either the live auction or the balloons. They are also encouraged to help promote the event by sharing it with their clients and customers. Surrey printing companies can help them to promote the gala by providing flyer printing services, which are often used for events like this to give all the details about the event, how people can help by donating money or attending the gala, and let them know what the company itself is doing. Flyers tend to be popular with event organizers because of their ease of distribution, as well as the relatively low cost of ordering them in bulk.

The Surrey Hospice Society offers services such as grief counseling and support for those dealing with a terminal illness. It helps provide funds to Laurel Place Hospice and the Surrey Memorial Hospital Tertiary Care Unit. With the gala scheduled for October 20 and running from 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm, tickets are $95 per person or $690 for a table of eight.
