What's Happening in Surrey, BC…

Historic Stewart Farm, a farm run by the Stewarts over 100 years ago, is a gem for the city of Surrey, and residents will be able to visit this fall.

The Stewarts, who came to Surrey in the late 1800s, purchased the 440 acres of land of the fam. In 1984, the city of Surrey purchased 54 acres of the land, and it is currently run by the Heritage Services, as well as Parks, Culture and Recreation. The site is officially designated as a heritage site from both the provincial government and the city of Surrey.

The Historic Stewart Farm events are family friendly and allow children and adults alike to enjoy activities situated at the farm. Attendees can learn how to make homemade butter and go on a bird watching walk where they can check off all the birds they see.

This fall, the farm will be hosting an old harvest fair where attendees will be entertained by live music and have an opportunity to play games as well as enjoy local food. During the winter, Stewart Farms hosts a Victorian farmhouse Christmas, bringing the spirit and feel of Christmas alive. Brochure printing is one resource that is helpful to promote ongoing events such as this.
