The 66th annual White Rock Sea Festival is taking place for three days beginning in July.
This event is quite popular in the area, and is said to offer a wide variety of activities suitable for people of all ages and abilities. There will be food vendors on hand, as well as a commercial marketplace. Children's activities will include the Pirates in the Park event at Semiahmoo Park, where there will be inflatables, crafts, and a pirate parade.
Musical entertainment will be provided by local bands, with this year's headliner to be Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues. Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy sandcastle sculptures, fireworks displays, yoga and Zumba classes, and water activities. Over 200 athletes are also expected to compete in the fourth Stand Up Paddle Board Classic, while the Skimboard Jam on East Beach will be offering lessons to anyone who is interested.
The 28th annual Torchlit parade will take place on the last evening of the festival. Organizers are still looking for volunteers willing to help with the running of the event.
