Management changes occurring at printing company

Printing companies in Surrey, B.C., may want to observe the changes to the management team that are occurring at a nearby printing company in Vancouver. The changes to the management team are occurring at Metropolitan Fine Printers, which has been in business since 1977.

The management team changes are primarily a reshuffling of employees who already work at the Vancouver printing company. Starting with the role of president, Nikos Kallas has been appointed to the job, and his tenure as new president of Metropolitan Fine Printers will be effective on January 1, 2011.

The current president of this Vancouver printing company—George Kallas, who is also the founder of Metropolitan Fine Printers as well as the 2009 Printer of the Year as awarded by Graphic Monthly Canada—will step down as president and instead assume the role of chairman for the company. His new tenure as chairman only starts on January 1, 2011 also.

The last change to management occurs at the position of senior account executive. Scott Gray will be happy with the promotion to senior account executive; the work experience that he brings with himself to the position is as a former director of brand for MET. His new role as senior account executive begins on January 1, 2011 at the company.

Metropolitan Fine Printers has been in the news somewhat lately due to its efforts at being a carbon neutral company. It is currently in its second year as a carbon neutral company.

Printers offering services such as brochure and flyer printing in nearby Surrey, B.C., may want to take note of this reshuffling at one of their competitors.
