Holiday fundraiser to benefit Surrey food banks

Tom Jackson is a First Nations actor, and a fundraising show showcasing his talents – along with many others – will be making a virtual stop in Surrey this holiday season.

The experience, which is titled “The Huron Carole”, will include a selection of musical favourites that have come to be part of Canadian culture. It will be one of a series of shows across the country that will raise money for food banks and other family service programs.

To ensure everyone can enjoy the show safely, it will be taking place online this year. The show will be an experience all ages can enjoy, and anyone who is interested will be able to purchase a ticket option that includes an online VIP Zoom reception with Jackson himself.

The organizer of this virtual concert has pointed out that thanks to Jackson’s efforts, millions in monetary donations and gifts in kind have been raised for charities, including food banks and disaster relief. Print shops can prepare printed programs for this sort of function that provide additional details about how the monies raised will benefit the local community.

The Surrey instalment of “The Huron Carole” will be hosted online on December 11th. Tickets are $15 each, and the City of Surrey website includes a link to purchase tickets, as well as additional details about the show.
