Fundraiser helps educate disadvantaged youth

The second annual Ignite a Dream fundraiser is taking place this February in Surrey, and is held by the Surrey Fire Fighters Association's Charitable Society.

The evening is hosted by Wayne Cox and guests are asked to dress in cocktail attire, and all attendees must be aged 19 or over. There will be food, wine and craft beer tastings throughout the night, in addition to silent and live auctions and raffles.

There will also be live musical entertainment at the event, which could present a good opportunity to find out more about the society's programs and services.

Auction items are donated by local businesses and individuals. Many of them will want to make sure their current customers know about this Surrey event, to encourage more to attend. They may do this by investing in flyer printing services to produce a product that can be inserted into a regular Mailing.

The Surrey Fire Fighters Association's Ignite a Dream program works to provide scholarships for disadvantaged children, present the SFU lecture series, and hand out community bursaries.

The Ignite a Dream fundraiser is being held at the Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, in the Customer Service Centre, on February 21st from 7:00pm - 11:30pm. Tickets are $60 each or $100 for two. To learn more about this event and about the Charitable Society, call 604-574-5785.
