The Surrey community of Fleetwood will be celebrating the end of summer with its 18th annual Fleetwood Festival.
Throughout the day of the celebration, there will be all sorts of fun, with something for young and old alike. There will be live musical performances and other entertainment, balloon twisting, bouncy castles and face painting for the kids, crafts and other hands-on activities, henna tattoos, and various games.
The family friendly entertainment for the event will performed by Story with Dorie, and there will also be a magic show, acrobatic demonstrations, Irish dancing, and others acts. The food for the day will be provided courtesy of Fresh Market. Flyers can be used to promote community-based activities such as this throughout the local area.
The organizers of the festival expect it to be well attended and busy, and since the parking is limited, they recommend that those who plan on coming out use public transportation, carpooling, cycle or walk to the celebration. Those who choose to bring their bike will be able to have them registered by members of the RCMP, who will be onsite and doing so for free.
The Fleetwood Festival will take place at Francis Park, which is located at 15951 83 Ave, starting at 11:00am on September 10. It will run until 3:00 pm, and further details can be found on its website.
