The Newton Community Festival and Doors Open event will start off the summer in a big way this June.
The festival will feature plenty of activities that should appeal to everyone in the family. There will be a Main Stage presenting music and dance performances, sports and fitness demonstrations and free trials, draws and free prizes. A children’s play zone will also be present, featuring arts and crafts, face painting, and a bouncy castle. Business vendors, food vendors, and non-profit organizations will be on hand, with their booths set up either to sell products or to provide information to the community.
Vendors can rent an eight-foot table and chairs for $75 for food, $30 for business, and $15 for non-profit organizations. Sponsorships are also available from $250 - $1,000, and all sponsors will be recognized at the event through Signs and possibly Banners. No doubt the organizers will be working with Surrey printing companies to design and Print any signage needed.
Doors Open is also taking place on the same day. Over 30 businesses in Surrey will open their doors and let everyone see the behind the scenes operations. Both of these events have drawn over 5,000 people in the past and this year is expected to be no different.
The 18th annual Newton Community Festival will take place at the Newton Recreation Centre on June 22 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is free.
