Certificates of achievement motivate employees

Often employees are toiling away at their jobs without any recognition other than their pay. These employees often become unmotivated and cease to do what is best for the company. One way employers can get around this is to give out awards like certificates of achievement to show their employees that they do appreciate what they do for the company.

It does not necessarily have to be in the form of a certificate of achievement, it can also come in the form of an employee-of-the-month poster. Printing companies can help you to design the type of product you want to use for such awards; it can be a certificate suitable for framing to be placed on a cubicle wall or a poster that will be displayed to everyone who visits the business.

While many people do not seek out such attention and just want to do their job to the best of their ability, such recognition is always welcomed. Take for example, Surrey teacher Debbie Darling just won the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence; Debbie was one of 59 teachers Canada-wide who received a Certificate of Achievement. She is a grade 11 and 12 chemistry teacher who is described by her school’s vice-principal as an “exemplary educator.” The Certificate of Achievement comes with a $1,000 cash prize to spend on things such as teaching aids, school equipment and resource materials. Other teachers can only be motivated by Ms. Darling’s example and their student’s are the ones who will benefit.

While employee-of-the-month Posters and certificates of achievement don’t seem a huge thing, they can help to motivate your employee to do the best job they can do and to instil company pride.
