Celebration brings attention to children's center

The 41st annual Alexandra Festival is being held this May in Surrey, and it is hosted by Alexandra Children's House.

The event is set to feature plenty of entertainment for people of all ages. Some of the performers who are confirmed to appear at this year's event are Chris Hamilton, the Bhangramatics, and the Steel School of Irish Dancers.

There will be lots of children's activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, crafts, carnival rides, and snack foods. Several food trucks will be on hand to provide a variety of foods, and the Children's Center will be holding an open house.

In addition, there will be a number of arts and crafts vendors selling handmade items like jewelry, paintings, clothing and ceramics.

The organizers of the festival are still looking for volunteers to help ensure a successful event.

The Alexandra Children's House and Center provides programs such as day care for infants and pre-schoolers, and after-school care for older children.

Some of the vendors who are participating in the festival may decide to invest in sign and banner printing from their favorite Surrey printing company, to bring more attention to themselves.

The Alexandra Festival will be held at Camp Alexander on May 30th, beginning at 11:00pm. Admission is free. To find out more about the event or to become a volunteer, call 604-535-0015.
