Business excellence noted in Surrey

The 14th annual Surrey Business Excellence Awards will take place at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel next month and will be hosted by Simi Sara, with dinner also served during the evening. In addition to the awards, there will be a tribute to Sherrold Haddad - a Surrey business owner who has been in the car business for over 40 years and who is retiring this year.

There are eight categories of awards each of which current has three finalists. The Business of the Year awards are split into three different categories, catering for three different sizes of business. There will be two awards up for grabs for non-profit businesses (under and over a $500K budget), and the list of honors will be completed with Business Person of the Year, New Business of the Year and Student Entrepreneur of the Year. Those who are not up for these awards may be interested in hearing the stories of those who were chosen and what they can learn from their example.

The event will also be a great networking opportunity for Surrey business leaders. There will definitely be time to talk business over dinner and those who are planning to attend will no doubt be placing a new business card order in advance. They will want to make sure their contact information is up-to-date and that they have an ample supply of cards in good shape.

The awards will be handed out on November 15 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Tickets are $105 or $1,000 for a table of 10.
