The 7th annual Blues for the Bank event is taking place this weekend in Surrey. It is presented by the Surrey Board of Trade, the Downtown Surrey BIA, and the Leader Newspaper, among others, and is a fundraising event for the Surrey Food Bank.
The event features a performance by Agent C and his Top Secret Band; guests are encouraged to dance the night away to this bluesy music. They will also be able to enjoy food and drinks throughout the evening.
Proceeds from Blues for the Bank will go to the Surrey Food Bank's Tiny Bundles program, which provides pregnant mothers and the parents of newborns to one-year-olds with a food hamper while the mother is pregnant, and continues through the time that she is nursing. Overall, 43% of the people helped by the food bank are children and babies.
This event attracted over 3,500 people in 2013 and is expected to draw at least as many this year. It is likely that it will be advertised greatly in the Surrey area. To help with advertising, organizers often turn to local printing companies to provide marketing materials such as Flyers and Posters. Both are inexpensive to produce and can spread the word about an event quickly and effectively.
Blues for the Bank is taking place at the Sheraton Hotel on January 25 beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20 each. To find out more about this fundraising event, call 604-581-2382.
