The Penticton Visitor Centre and Wine Info Centre will be teaming up for a Holiday Late Night Shop event, offering prizes and holiday savings.
The event aims to create a festival-like atmosphere at both locations. The Wine Info Centre will offer complementary wine tastings and light food, as well as sales on wine. The Penticton Visitor Centre will host different events on each of the three days, in addition to special sales and a do-it-yourself gourmet hot chocolate station across each week.
The first day of the Late Night Shop event will feature food trucks offering local cuisine, as well as a display from Apex Mountain Resort. The second week will feature its own special sales and new products. The festivities will close out with a visit from Santa Claus, providing photo opportunities with children, families and pets, as well as new holiday-themed items. Local musical artists will also perform on select nights.
The event series is sponsored by Visit Penticton with the goal of encouraging holiday shoppers to frequent local businesses. Sales events like this often use brochure printing and social media to help advertise specific deals or new products. Those who visit both locations in a week will be entered to win a special door prize, with a new prize each week.
The Holiday Late Night Shop events will take place on Thursday nights from December 4 to 18 at the Penticton Visitor Centre and Wine Info Centre.
