Penticton music festival to take Halloween underground

The Underground Wasteland Music Festival will be held in Penticton this Halloween weekend, featuring rock, punk, metal and more.

The festival will feature 19 bands over the course of 2 days, including an all-day concert on the Saturday that could go well into the night. Band names include The Flannel Contract, Storm The Empire, Dirty Audio Machine, and Nameless King. Each band will perform a full set for approximately an hour with an intimate club atmosphere. There will also be special guest DJ Sun$hine hosting the events. Both nights of the festival will also feature a costume contest for anyone to show off their Halloween outfits, with prizes available for the best-looking duds.

The concert is hosted by Shattered Earth Records and 3N1GMA, who hosts many concerts around British Columbia, as well as holding interviews and doing video production for local artists. Music festivals such as this are typically marketed through eye-catching poster printing, social media, and local radio, aiming to expose people to new artists in their favourite genres. The festival will be offering both physical and digital tickets, as well as a discount pass for both days, with food and drink available throughout form the bar.

The Underground Wasteland Music Festival will take place on October 27 and 28 at Clancy’s Pub & Grill in Penticton.
