The expo will feature over 50 businesses and organizations, including adventure companies, restaurants, breweries, hotels, artisan retailers and more. Confirmed exhibitors include the OROLO Restaurant + Cocktail Bar, GottaGoat Farm (including a live goat), and Naramata Bench Wineries. Visitors can obtain food and drink samples, as well as exclusive Visit Penticton merchandise to show their hometown spirit. The event is free to attend, with the Penticton Community Fridge and Pantry collecting donations for nonperishable food and hygiene items.
The TRUE Festival is named after an abbreviation for Think Remarkable Unique Experiences, and aims to promote local tourism:
“Discover new adventures and reacquaint yourself with all of the amazing activities, attractions, accommodations, restaurants, wineries, breweries, cideries, events and so much more happening in and around Penticton.”
There will also be activities for young viewers, including play areas and a scavenger hunt. Visitors will be able to enter a draw to win prizes. Vendors often use expos and marketplaces like this to reach new clients, using brochure printing, promotional items, and other tools. The expo is hosted by the Visit Penticton organization.
The 2024 TRUE Penticton Tourism Expo will take place at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on the morning and afternoon of April 7.
