Penticton Chamber to gather aboard historic ship

The Penticton Chamber of Commerce will be holding a special edition of its Business After Business event this December, in a historic location.

The year-ending event will take place aboard the S. S. Sicamous, a historic ship that doubles as a modern museum and regularly hosts events ranging from historical lectures to murder-mystery parties. The mixer is designed to bring together people from different industries in Penticton’s business community. Attendees can win prizes themed after the holiday season, and enjoy live entertainment. There will also be refreshments provided in the form of hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The networking event will use a “1920s Christmas Night Out” theme, inviting visitors to travel back in time a century to the ship’s heyday with vintage clothing and style.

Discounted tickets are available for members of the Penticton Chamber, as well as the Downtown Penticton BIA, Travel Penticton, the South Okanagan Chamber, and the Summerland Chamber. The Business After Business mixer is hosted monthly with the goal of connecting different members of the Okanagan Valley business community. Events like this typically involve trading Business Cards and contact information to help make lasting connections with potential customers, clients and business partners.

The Business After Business 1920s Christmas Night Out will take place at the S. S. Sicamous Marine Heritage Society in Penticton on December 12.
