Describing itself as the only hot pepper festival in Canada, the free event features vendors and the chance to taste rare spicy peppers. The adventurous can take part in challenges to see who can handle the heat most. Food makers can also enter competitions to see whose peppers, hot sauce, and other food packs the most punch.
There will also be local food vendors offering produce and other items straight from the farm, in addition to local artisans and crafters. Vendors often use Business Cards and special giveaways to help connect to customers and events like this The Sizzle will also feature live musicians and other performers to help build a party atmosphere, including classic rock party band Cobra Radio.
The Sizzle typically draws thousands of visitors and dozens of exhibitors and local sponsors, with this year’s festival aiming to be the biggest yet. There will be activities and contests for children throughout the day, with the goal of making the festival a family-friendly event. Promotional material emphasizes the community nature:
