Peach Festival returns this summer

The 68th annual Penticton Peach Festival is taking place over five days next month. It is a presentation of the Downtown Penticton Association.

There a wide variety of events set to take place during the festival that should appeal to every member of the family, regardless of their age. This includes a lumberjack show, a performance by the Snowbirds, and a grand parade. There will be musical performances from artists such as 54-40, George Canyon, and Barney Bentall, together with a tribute night celebrating a variety of performers.

For the kids, there will be amusement rides at Rotary Park and a Kiddies Day and parade at Okanagan Lake Park. Other events will be the 2nd annual peach bin races, the Pentown Throwdown BMX and skateboard competition for cash prizes, and a slo-pitch tournament.

The festival will also be the location of the 62nd Square Dance Festival to be held at the Seniors’ Drop-in Centre. One other event taking place will be a sandcastle competition on Skaha Beach.

Organizers of this event may have invested in banner printing services from Penticton Print companies to highlight where specific activities will be taking place.

The Penticton Peach Festival is being held in Downtown Penticton from August 5 to 9. To get the most recent information about this upcoming event, call the organizers on 250-493-8540.
