Peach Fest to return to Penticton

This August will see one of Penticton’s biggest traditions return in the form of Penticton Peach Fest, featuring live performances and a host of family-friendly activities.

The festival was created in 1947 to celebrate the summer’s peach harvest, and since then has grown to be an all-purpose summer celebration. There will be a Kids Zone with rides and carnival games, as well as a Kids Zone aimed at younger visitors. Those looking for a need for speed can check out the Mega Motocross competition, or try a slightly slower race at the Jennifer Casey Memorial Peach Bin Races. The athletically minded can also compete in the Sheila Bishop Slow-Pitch Tournament, the Peachduro bicycle race, and the Skaha Lake Ultra Swim.

There will also be evening entertainment on a central stage, including the Reel Peach Film Festival and a number of on-stage performers. The lineup includes acoustic blues band Three Scotch In, cover bands The Hip Replacements and High Voltage, and the acrobatic Flying Fools High Dive Show. There will also be a vendor zone offering food, drink, and gifts, including some classic peach products. Festivals such as this, often advertised through poster printing and social media, are a popular way to experience memorable summer moments.

The 2023 Penticton Peach Festival will run from between August 9 and 13 on Lakeshore Drive.
