The 21st annual Okanagan Fest of Ale is taking place for two days next month in Penticton. It is presented by the Okanagan Fest of Ale Society.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit local charities; as of last year, this event had raised over $537,000.
There are expected to be approximately 50 area breweries that will be featured in the festival. Samples will include beer, ale and cider. Guests will receive a sampling glass with their paid admission. There will be both indoor and outdoor tasting areas at this year's festival.
Organizers of this festival are still looking for vendors who wish to participate. They are looking for food, beer and entertainment providers.
Guests who wish to purchase some of the brews featured can buy them at the onsite store.
This is a very popular event in the Penticton area and organizers expect at least 5,000 tickets to be sold this year. No doubt local poster printing firms have been asked to supply materials to advertise the festival.
The event will be held at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre from April 8 to 9. One- day tickets are $22 in advance and $29 at the gate and a two-day pass costs $38 or $47. Admission is restricted to those aged 19 and over. Call 250-492-4355 for more information.
