Gala event to be hosted in Penticton

A Penticton winery will be hosting a special Fire and Ice Gala this November, featuring some of the Valley’s best food and drink.

The event is hosted by the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society (OWFS) organization, who have invited breweries, cideries and distilleries from throughout the region. Announced invitees include Tinhorn Creek Vineyards, River Stone Estate Winery, and the Farming Karma Fruit Company. Each drink sample will be paired with complementary food. Invitees are encouraged to dress in formal attire inspired by the “Fire and Ice” theme. There will be awards for the best outfits, with one each for fire and ice. There will also be live music, dancing, and more.

The gala is one of the signature event of the OWFS, a membership-based society that has been hosting events to connect consumers with local wineries and other businesses since the 1980s. The event is also part of the broader South Okanagan Fire & Ice Festival designed to celebrate the coming of winter in the valley, which will also include a craft market featuring Indigenous artisans and a long table dinner hosted by Miradoro. Food and wine events like this often use tools like brochure printing and displays to provide more information on the exhibiting businesses.

The 2024 South Okanagan Fire and Ice Gala will take place on the evening of November 23 at the Spirit Ridge Resort in Penticton.
