The 19th annual Pentastic Hot Jazz Festival is coming to Penticton next month for three days. Set to feature performers from the United States and Canada, it bills itself as "the best jazz party in the Pacific Northwest".
Performances will be taking place in five venues in the city, and will feature acoustic, swing, big band, traditional jazz music, and other genres. Among those performers who have been confirmed to appear at this year's festival are Tom Rigney and Flambeau, the Curbside Trad Jazz Band, Wally's Warehouse Waifs, and Cornet Chop Suey. Lance Buller has appeared each year since the beginning, and will make an appearance once more.
Sponsorships are available for this year's festival and range in price from $300 up to $2,000. Sponsors will be invited to a special meet-and-greet reception, and will also receive recognition in the festival program.
Those planning to attend must purchase tickets and then exchange them for a wristband at the Penticton Trade and Convention Center. It is likely that organizers have contacted a favorite Penticton printing company to provide the program that everyone who attends will receive.
